Abstract:
Electrostatic forces of repulsions and attractions, proportional to electric charges in neutral bodies, cancel out everywhere, in space, according to Coulomb’s law. Negative forces, proportional to square of charges, remain for a medium, called aether, for gravity, according to Newton’s law. Light velocity c, a vector of magnitude c, is constant relative to the source only. Force on moving charged particle, accelerated by electric field, is less than force on a stationary one, the difference is radiation reaction force, making c also a terminal speed. Light takes on velocity v of its source for vector (c + v). Speed of sound w in the air of the atmosphere, is independent of motion of the source. Frequency and wavelength, detected by observer, depend on relative velocity between source and observer. Relativity of speed is allowed as Doppler Shift in sound but denied in light waves. Special relativity makes c constant for observers, stationary or moving, despite Red Shift and Blue Shift observed in the spectrum of starlight in astronomy. This constancy is unneeded. Removing relativistic constancy of speed light, for all observers, stationary or moving, should return physics back to the right path.
